The Jizera Mountains offer plenty of activities for everyone from spring to winter. Whether you are looking for sports activities, nature walks, sightseeing or just want to see something new with your family, the Jizera Mountains have it for you. Here is a small sample of what you can experience with us
Jizera Mountain beech forests
The first natural site in the Czech Republic to be inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List is suitable for hikers due to its more difficult terrain. Explore various routes, discover the waterfall on the Černý potok, the Hajní kostel viewpoint or the Frýdlantské cimbuří rock formation. You can cycle along the beautiful Vineyard Trail, which forms the northern border of the reserve.
Hejnice
In this small town with a rich history you will find, among other things, the oldest pilgrimage site in the Jizera Mountains.
From our cottages you can walk three kilometres to the Church of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary.
Just a short walk away, you can enjoy beautiful views of the city from the viewpoint of the Hermit’s Stone. In summer, head to the local swimming pool with its grassy beaches and paddling pool.
Spruce Lookout Tower
On the highest peak of the Jizera Mountains (1124 m) n. m.) there is a tower 23 metres higher. It is accessible all year round and in ideal weather you can see up to 150 km away. See Poland, the Giant Mountains, Bezděz or even Mount Říp.
Singletrack under the Spruce
All this is brought by the Singletrek area under Smrkem, where you can ride to your heart’s content and test your limits on trails of varying difficulty.
Jizera Highway
You can get on the legendary Jizera Highway, which is almost 200 km long, for example at Smědava (7 km by car). Several routes converge here for you to explore.
